At Slick Energy, Inc. we care about more than just our bottom line. We care about the communities in which we do business, so we’ve been focusing our attention on our Slick Degrees Foundation and, specifically, our three impact areas: Education & Children, Veterans/Military Families, and Food/Housing Insecurity. On Sunday, we put thought into action at Winter Walk Boston, where 1700 people gathered at Copley Square to raise awareness of the city’s homeless population, learn about the organizations on the front lines of this crisis, and to walk in solidarity to hashtag . Collectively, this is something we can solve. Close to $200,000 was raised by individual and corporate donors! A huge shoutout to the Winter Walk team for an incredibly well-run, educational, and inspiring event. Thank you to Winter Walk founder Paul English for creating an event that gives names, faces, and stories to Boston’s homeless individuals (6,000+)—and for including and celebrating the nonprofits that work tirelessly for housing security and healthcare solutions: Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Pine Street Inn, Boston Medical Center, The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc.Y2Y. & Brookview.
