What an incredible day at the Back-to-School Blast in Marble Falls!

Seeing families come together, kids smiling from ear to ear, and our community showing up for one another is what it's all about. As another school year begins, we're reminded that a little kindness, encouragement, and support can make a big difference.

A huge THANK YOU to every volunteer, community partner, sponsor, and attendee who helped make this event such a success. Your generosity and servant hearts are helping local students start the school year with confidence.

Here's a look back at an amazing day filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit. We can't wait to see all the great things these students accomplish this year!

🌅 Here Comes the Sun... and with it, 40,000 pounds of hope.

Before most of our community was awake, an incredible gift arrived at The Helping Center.

Thanks to the generosity of JustServe, a community service initiative of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 40,000 pounds of food rolled into our loading dock—bringing hope, nourishment, and encouragement to thousands of neighbors in need.

As the sun came up, volunteers were already hard at work unloading, sorting, and preparing this food for distribution. Every box moved, every pallet unloaded, and every helping hand is a reminder that when a community comes together, lives are changed.

We are deeply grateful for this generous partnership and for everyone who serves with such compassion. Together, we're making sure families throughout our community have access to healthy food and the hope that comes with knowing they are not alone.

A special thank you to Gavyn Reed for capturing the morning so beautifully and creating this wonderful video. Your talent helps tell the story of hope in action.

Today we honor the memory of Gladys McLean, a longtime friend of The Helping Center whose dedication and servant’s heart helped shape who we are today.

Gladys was a cornerstone in the development of The Helping Center, giving generously of her time, talents, and love for our community. Her legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire us for years to come.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Martin and the entire McLean family. Thank you, Gladys, for all you gave to our community. You will never be forgotten.

☀️ Summer is here, and so is the Texas heat! ☀️

As school is out and temperatures continue to climb, many of our neighbors are feeling the extra strain on their grocery budgets.

Right now, The Helping Center could really use donations of:
💙 Individual children's snacks (crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars, applesauce pouches, peanut butter crackers, etc.)
💙 Bottled water

These simple items make a huge difference for families trying to keep children nourished and hydrated during the summer months.

If you're headed to the grocery store this week, would you consider picking up an extra package of snacks or a case of water for a family in need?

Donations can be dropped off during our regular business hours. Every bottle. Every snack. Every act of kindness reminds someone in our community that they are not alone.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from The Helping Center! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the freedoms we cherish, the strength of our community, and the many blessings we share.

As we gather with family and friends, we are especially grateful for our incredible volunteers, faithful donors, partnering churches, and supporters who make it possible for us to serve our neighbors with dignity and hope every day.

Wishing you a safe, joyful, and blessed Independence Day filled with laughter, gratitude, and time with those you love.
