Maureen Dunleavy, Regional Sr. VP talks about the importance of raising awareness, reducing stigma, supporting those facing challenges and encouraging opening conversations about mental health.

Thank you to the Keys Citizen for highlighting the 2026 Florida Keys Nonprofit Day, which brought together more than 135 nonprofit leaders representing nearly 60 organizations from throughout the Keys for a day of learning, connection and collaboration.

Presented by the Florida Keys Funders Alliance - Community Foundation of the Florida Keys, Ocean Reef Community Foundation and United Way of Collier and the Keys - Monroe - and sponsored by First State Bank, Nonprofit Day is all about strengthening the organizations that work every day to strengthen our Keys communities.

💙 GIVING FOR GOOD | Supporting su***de prevention in Monroe County

A grant from the Aaron Davis Broadaway Su***de Prevention Fund will support the Guidance Care Center’s su***de prevention programs and training in Monroe County.

Fundholders Billy Davis and Miki Yaras-Davis established this Designated Fund at the Foundation with a clear and lasting purpose, relecting their commitment to helping people in our community find support when they need it.

Su***de Prevention Awareness Month is a time to remember those we have lost, support those affected by su***de, raise awareness, and encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out.

Connection is a powerful resource for su***de prevention. Every conversation matters, and even a small act of kindness can make a difference.
