The Society was formed in Oct. 2002 to discover, procure, and preserve whatever shall relate to the natural, civil, literary and ecclesiastical history of the town of Marathon and the surrounding area, and to establish and maintain collections of art and archeology for future generations. The 1861 building on Lovell Field has been renovated and is being used as our Museum to display our historical collections.
