Shape up the Gym – Matching Funds Opportunity!!!
A generous donor is offering to match, dollar for dollar, the next $25,000 we raise!
So far we have raised just over $24,000!

Once we raise the next $25,000 plus matching funds we will be 89% of the way to our goal, but we need your help!

What: A 3 month-long Fundraising Campaign to refurbish our worn out gym:
• New floor
• New lighting

Why: The floor has tiles that are popping up and becoming more slippery
How: We have vendors that have given us bids for all parts of the project

GREAT NEWS! We are up to $17,200 for our "Shape up the Gym" campaign following the spaghetti dinner fundraiser! We served about 325 people dinner and had great conversations. It was outstanding to see alumni, current families and church families. Thank you so much for your support towards this very needed cause.

What a great chapel!

Yesterday, synod staff visited Gethsemane School. There, we joined chapel, performed a skit, and visited students in their classrooms. Gethsemane is the only parochial school in our synod, educating kids pre-k through eighth grade. Learn more at http://school.geth.org.

New Gym Floor!!!!
As an alumnus of Gethsemane Lutheran School many of my fond memories take place in the gymnasium! The overall appearance of the Gethsemane Lutheran School gym is still outstanding but it is time for some much needed upgrades. The current floor tiles are starting to crack and pop off the floor. The tile has little or no grip left even after it is mopped. It has become a hazard and a huge area of concern for student safety. The good news is that there is a solution! We are looking to install a new gym floor. To make this happen we need financial support from current families, alumni, businesses and other outside donors. Pastor Dave, church council, school board and I are looking to raise $83,000 to complete the entire project. This will be enough to install a new floor, lighting, new basketball lifts, and a new score board. The gym refurbishment project will also be the fundraising focus for our Spaghetti dinner/open house on Thursday, January 26th. Dinner will be offered from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Any support is greatly appreciated! Let’s make the gymnasium a place where memories can be made for the next 75 years!

We are proud of Gethsemane alumni Thomas, Annika, and Elissa, who were named Tri Metro all conference honorable mention in track. Congrats also to Cole for all conference honorable mention in baseball and to Kole and Sam who were earned Tri Metro all conference in baseball. Great job, everone!
