We will be studying the Beginners Guide to Dying by Simon Boas at Sweet Reads on May 18th at 6:30.

Ernest Becker's Pulitzer Prize-winning book held that most of human life is an elaborate attempt to ignore the fact that we will die.

But psychologists Joshua Hicks and Yuhui Du push back: denying death, they argue, is precisely the wrong move.

A greater awareness of mortality tends to make life feel more coherent, more purposeful, and more significant.

Embrace death, and you become more ready to face it, and more likely to leave something meaningful behind.

One of our customers made this for me. People bring us treats (thanks Kitty and Colleen). They bring us donations and brighten our day (we miss you, Terrance, come see us)! We love our Saturdays. We give a lot but we receive so much more!
