Cravings -
3 ways to get through a craving without picking up:
1. Ride the Wave - a craving peaks and passes - usually in 15-20 mins. Set a timer and outlast it.
2. Call your brother - not tomorrow, NOW! Say it out loud to someone who gets it.
3. Change your surroundings. Get up, walk, get out of the room the urge showed up in.
Recovery isn't about never wanting to use. It's about knowing what to do when you do.
