We are reaching out to the farming community today to help Hank M who desperately wants to continue farming. There has to be someone who is willing to help Hank as his spirit and desire to continue to farm is incredible.
Hank is a person with an adapted tractor which he handles well to bail hay, mow, and most likely can do anything with the tractor to help in the farm operation. I just started seeing the hay auctions; Hank spent most of his life mowing and selling hay to make a living on the farm.
When his parents died, he lost his home and wants to return to the farm. With the right help, Hank would be one of the best assets your family farm could ever have involved in the day to day operations. It is really a tradeoff. Hanks needs personal assistance and in exchange watch him work from sun up to sun down.
Hank is a real farmer who just needs a place to work, live, and be part of the community. He has years’ experience and knows how to handle the work.
If you or someone you know has an opening for a farm hand equipped with his own tractor and will give him the opportunity - he is ready to "go for it". Please contact EquipALife if you are serious about helping Hank find his niche in Minnesota's rich farm community. We thank you for sharing this post with everyone you know to help find a great match for Hank and his skills. Thank you very much & please pass this post to anyone you think might be interested in finding a hard working dedicated farm hand. (763.479.8239 EquipALife contact).

We had a great response to people reading our post on sending $10 to EquipALife to help continue AgrAbility and support the operating costs so we can help more people and spend less time trying to raise money.

I kindly ask individuals to take the post seriously; please send $10 or whatever you can to help us assist people in need. Let's save the family farm as many as possible. Your generosity is appreciated. EquipALife 5563 Pioneer Creeek Drive, Suite A, Maple Plain, MN 55359

Thank you,
Carol Fury

EquipALife's bill at the Legislature is moving ahead, take 5 minutes to call your legislator and ask them to support HF 2134 & SF 2361. Hearing is Tuesday in the Ag Committe on Finance. Read about it on Carol's home page.

For every farm family who sends $10.00 to EquipALife we could help over 100 or more families in need of accomodations due injury or accidents. As there are over 110,000 family farms think about the potential for helping to keep the program helping all those in need. Please share this post with everyone - 10 bucks is not a lot to ask for when we can help so many people. The new calls to AgrAbility / EquipALife are tripling every week. Please we need your 10 bucks just to keep us going and helping to keep the family farms, people with disabilities and individuals with acquired medical conditions moving forward. Thanks Carol Fury

I just sent a post out about Steve from Chatfield and Face Book was having difficulty so I will repost on Thursday. Carol Round up some help in Chatfield, it takes a community to help your neighbor - Please. Carol from EquipALife, the sponsor of the AgrAbility Project. Thanks please help out, even if you took one milking shift or helped to pay a portion of the cost to fix his skid loader. Think about what would happen if you lost part of a hand and you couldn't milk the cows like you are use to doling. Please spport Steve in what ever way possible. Things are really sliding so he needs a boost! Thank you, Carol

Updating the community on our farmers in need. EquipALife / AgrAbility has six farmer referrals and they all need different types of assistance as the result of farm related accidents. If you or you know someone who has some free time, one farmer needs help with milking 7 / 7 (Chatfied area), another just lost four fingers and has mutiple needs (Howard Lake area), farmer returning from rehab in the Worthington area will require some assistance as we work to help with modification of his tractor (needs a lift), and the list goes on. Call EquipALife if you can help and we will go over our referrals to see if there is a spot where YOU can make a difference. God Bless our farmers and keep them thinking and acting with safety on their mind 24 / 7 as they complete the harvest, and all year long. Carol Fury
