Through both striking black-and-white and vibrant color imagery, Moon documents the energy of competition and the unique bond between horse and rider. His portfolio also extends beyond the polo field, featuring photographic projects from places such as Mongolia and other visual explorations that reflect a passion for storytelling through the lens.

What a day! The 37th Annual Polo Classic was an absolute triumph, and we are beyond grateful to everyone who came out to support This Old Horse.

Here are a few highlights from an unforgettable event:

Perfect Weather: The sun was shining and the weather was glorious, setting a stunning backdrop for the day's festivities across the field, tailgates, and tents.

An Electrifying Match: The action on the field delivered nonstop excitement! The polo match was fast, intense, and fiercely competitive, coming down to a nail-biting, close finish that kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the final bell.

Record-Breaking Turnout: Thanks to our incredible community, it looks like this was our biggest attendance ever! Seeing the crowd gather to support equine rescue and retirement made for an extraordinary atmosphere.

Heartfelt Thanks to Our Volunteers: While the horses and players bring the action, our volunteers are truly the most important part of the day. From setup to check-in, parking, and logistics, this event simply would not happen without their tireless dedication, energy, and heart.

Thank you to every attendee, sponsor, player, and volunteer who helped make the 37th Polo Classic our best one yet. Your support directly furthers our mission to give retired, rescued, and recovering horses a safe, dignified, and loving home. 🐴❤️

Hal Tearse is a photographer whose work spans street photography, travel, landscapes, architecture, rodeo, and polo. His connection to polo dates back to age 13, when he worked at a polo club mucking stalls, beginning a lifelong involvement with the sport. Through Tearse Photography, Hal captures authentic moments, distinctive places, and the stories that connect them, both on and off the polo field.
