Kandace Graunke Photography is a Minnesota-based photographer whose artistic perspective is rooted in a lifelong connection to horses. Her equine work is distinguished by its emotion, elegance, and cinematic sense of movement—from the power of a horse in full stride to the quiet, unspoken bond between horse and rider.
That same storytelling approach extends throughout her broader portfolio, including Western, wedding, portrait, and event photography. Whether documenting the intensity of equestrian sport, the intimacy of a wedding day, or the contagious energy of a live event, Kandace strives to create editorial imagery that feels simultaneously refined and deeply personal.

Through Kandace Graunke Photography, her purpose is to preserve more than simply how a moment looks—she seeks to capture its emotion, transforming fleeting moments into timeless images that will endure for generations.

What a day! The 37th Annual Polo Classic was an absolute triumph, and we are beyond grateful to everyone who came out to support This Old Horse.

Here are a few highlights from an unforgettable event:

Perfect Weather: The sun was shining and the weather was glorious, setting a stunning backdrop for the day's festivities across the field, tailgates, and tents.

An Electrifying Match: The action on the field delivered nonstop excitement! The polo match was fast, intense, and fiercely competitive, coming down to a nail-biting, close finish that kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the final bell.

Record-Breaking Turnout: Thanks to our incredible community, it looks like this was our biggest attendance ever! Seeing the crowd gather to support equine rescue and retirement made for an extraordinary atmosphere.

Heartfelt Thanks to Our Volunteers: While the horses and players bring the action, our volunteers are truly the most important part of the day. From setup to check-in, parking, and logistics, this event simply would not happen without their tireless dedication, energy, and heart.

Thank you to every attendee, sponsor, player, and volunteer who helped make the 37th Polo Classic our best one yet. Your support directly furthers our mission to give retired, rescued, and recovering horses a safe, dignified, and loving home. 🐴❤️

Our first album is LIVE! Thanks Morgan Chapman Media!
A little about Morgan: “I’ve been a photographer and videographer since 2012, and I’ve had the privilege of capturing everything from horse shows and weddings to massive EDM festivals, corporate events, music videos, and more. There’s something incredible about freezing a real, unfiltered moment in time, the energy of a live event, the raw emotion between people, the little details that make life so beautiful. Whether it’s a once in a lifetime celebration or a moment that might otherwise go unnoticed, I love turning it into a lasting memory. I’m honored to do what I do, and I can’t wait to capture something amazing for you.”
