Hi everyone! ❤️ We want to take a moment to tell you a little bit about our Community Closet.
The Community Closet is a place where we give freely. We provide clothing, shoes, and household items to people in our community who may be in need. Everything is free. We do accept donations, but there is never a charge for the items we give.
But the Community Closet is about so much more than giving away things. It is a ministry.
Our desire is to share the love of Jesus Christ—not only through our words, but also through our actions.
The Bible tells us in Matthew 22:39, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
And in James 2:14–16, we are reminded that genuine faith should be followed by action. When someone is in need, we shouldn’t only tell them that we care—we should look for ways to help.
Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
And Matthew 7:20 tells us, “By their fruit you will recognize them.”
There are so many places throughout God’s Word that remind us that, as Christians, we are called to love, serve, encourage, and help others.
God loved us first, and because of His love for us, we want our lives to reflect His love to the people around us.
Sometimes a person may come through our doors looking for a pair of shoes, some clothes, or something for their home. But maybe what they really need is someone to listen, someone to encourage them, or someone to pray with them.
That’s why we want the Community Closet to be a place where people can not only receive something they need, but also experience the love of Christ. ❤️
And if you don’t know Jesus Christ personally, and you would like to know more about Him, please feel free to talk to one of our Community Closet volunteers. We would love to pray with you.
You can also pray this simple prayer from your heart:
“Dear God, I know I have made mistakes and sinned. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that You raised Him to life. Please forgive me. I receive Jesus as my Savior and make Him the Lord of my life. Help me to follow Him from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
If you prayed that prayer sincerely, we encourage you to continue seeking Jesus, reading His Word, praying, and connecting with other believers.
The Community Closet isn’t just about giving things away. It’s about loving people, serving our community, and letting the light of Jesus shine through us.
Thank you for supporting the Community Closet, praying for this ministry, donating, volunteering, and most
importantly, helping us share the love of Jesus through both word and action.
God bless you all! ❤️🙏🏼
