HEART ATTACK SNOW EXPECTED WITH UPCOMING STORM

The snow headed our way will NOT be the light, fluffy type.

Forecasters are calling for very low snow ratios — approximately 8:1 to 10:1, meaning this snow will be extremely dense, wet, and compact.

In simple terms:
This is what many meteorologists refer to as “heart attack snow.”

⚠️ Why this matters:
Even snowfall totals around 6–10 inches will be VERY heavy and difficult to shovel. One shovel full could weigh 2–3 times more than typical powder snow.

❤️ Important Safety Reminder:
If you have:
• Heart disease
• High blood pressure
• Cardiovascular issues
• Breathing problems
• Or limited mobility

DO NOT shovel this snow yourself.
Consider hiring someone, asking a neighbor, or arranging snow removal ahead of time.

Every year, hospitals see an increase in cardiac emergencies during heavy snow events due to overexertion while shoveling.

✅ Take frequent breaks
✅ Push snow instead of lifting when possible
✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Stop immediately if you feel chest pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath

Stay safe, check on elderly neighbors, and plan ahead before the snow begins.
