It's Chef Mark here and I have a fantastic menu this week. The weather is going to be nice, so what a perfect way to spend your evening at the VFW. I have a brand-new menu entree this week, so I'll talk about this first.

I will be making a Seafood Gumbo for those that enjoy seafood. However, I'm going to add some chicken, andouille sausage, shrimp, scallops, and mussels. This will be a little spicey, so the white rice is a perfect match for this dish. I've been to New Orleans and this is one of my favorites.

The next two entrees are a pair of my best sellers so it may be hard to make a selection. Almost every time I take a walk around the lounge, I'm asked when I will be making the Honey Fried Chicken again. So you asked.... and here you go. Have it with your choice of potato and the vegetable of the day. I suggest the mashed potato with the brown mushroom gravy from the next dish.

Next up is the Pork Roast. This entree comes with a generous portion of tender pork roast with mashed potatoes, brown mushroom gravy and vegetables. Be ready to take home some leftovers from this dish.

Of course, we will also be serving our Prime Rib. We usually sell out, so you may want to arrive here early.

The soup this week is Beef Mushroom.

It's going to be a little rainy this coming Friday, but don't let that stop you from coming to the VFW for dinner. Chef Mark has prepared a fantastic menu of some of his best dishes this week.

First up is Penne Alla Vodka with Chicken. You get 2 pieces of tender chicken breast over Penne Pasta with the chef's homemade creamy vodka sauce and garlic bread.

Most people eat a ham dinner during Christmas or Easter so why not have such a good tasting dish this Friday? You'll receive a hefty portion of ham with your choice of potato and vegetable.

Next up is Shrimp Scampi served over linguini. I bet you can't resist Chef Mark's Scampi sauce. If you like garlic in a creamy sauce, this is the dish for you.

Last up is our slow roasted Prime Rib. A 12oz cut is cooked any way you like with your choice of potato and a vegetable.

The soup this week is Navy Bean.

Did you know that will be serving food again for football today. Cheesesteaks, smash burgers, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings at reasonable prices. Members and their guests only. Come on down for a cold draft b**r!

It's a tough time of the year for some with the temperature swings, but I personally love the fall weather. It makes me think of my childhood days with my grandmother making her authentic ethnic food. So, in remembrance of my past, I will be making a Polish Platter this week.

How can you resist two stuffed cabbage rolls, kielbasa and kraut and cabbage and noodles. I'm sure this will be a plateful of food.

For those that love your beef, we have homemade Pot Roast with potatoes and carrots on the menu this week. This will surely be the belly bomb of the week.

Next up in the lineup will be our Crab Cakes. Two mouth-watering lump crab cakes with your choice of potato and vegetable.

Last up on the entree list is our Prime Rib. A nice 12oz. piece of prime rib and your choice of potato and vegetable. We have several customers that come in for this each week. We're sure you'll love it.

The soup this week is Roasted Garlic Potato.

Did you know that the VFW will be serving food this Sunday from 2-4pm? We are going to do a test to see if we can make this work permanently. We will be serving smashburgers, cheesesteaks, mozzarella sticks, fries and onion rings. This for members and their guests only. Did you know a member can bring up to 7 guests with them? Come on down with your friends and watch the NFL games on 4 large screen TV's.

It's going to be warm this Friday, so why not try a nice hunk of Prime Rib or better yet, a 12oz. NY Strip steak. We will be serving it with a whole piece of corn on the cob and your choice of potato. For those that would prefer a side of sweet corn off the cob, it is also available.

If you're not in the mood for beef, try the chef's Parmesan Chicken cutlets. This entree has two tender breaded chicken cutlets coated in bread crumps and parmesan cheese.

For our seafood lovers, we will have Maine Lobster Ravioli's with a lobster cream sauce. This comes with corn on the cob and your choice of soup or salad as does all of our main course meals.
