Huge news!! Jones has officially reached the size requirement necessary to be referred to a transplant center to begin the evaluation for a kidney transplant!!

All of this comes 1 week before Jones’ one year anniversary of being home and out of the NICU, and Rylie and Justin are so ecstatic! They hope to get an appointment at Texas Children’s Hospital soon to start the next phase of this journey and get Jones one step closer to the lifesaving kidney transplant he needs!

We are hosting a Multi-Family Garage Sale this weekend, where all proceeds go to COTA for Jones.

Jones was born in end stage renal failure and has been on dialysis since he was 3 days old. We are raising money for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) in honor of this sweet family that will be used solely for transplant related expenses.

While many people know, there are plenty of people who don’t know that Rylie and Justin’s sweet son, Jones, was born in end stage renal failure and has been on dialysis since he was 3 days old. He has defied the odds since the very beginning, and while their life looks different than most, we are grateful for dialysis and the lifesaving treatment it gives their little man. Dialysis has been a constant in their lives since he was born, but it in no means defines little warrior Jones is!

Through the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), we are able to raise money in honor of this sweet family that will be used solely for transplant related expenses. They hope to soon be referred to a transplant center to get the lifesaving kidney Jones desperately needs.

The COTA for Jones campaign has a dedicated website that includes, “his story” to share with the world just how brave, resilient, and amazing Jones is, picture updates, blog posts and campaign event details! He truly is a little miracle! Please take some time to visit the COTA for Jones website and read his story and consider donating to COTA for Jones if you’re able to help in honor of this perfect boy. Dear Friends and Family:

We would like to sincerely thank all of you for your continued thoughts and prayers for Jones and his family during this difficult time. While this is certainly a stressful situation, our hearts are warmed by simply seeing how many people have come together as a community to share their ongoing love and support.

We are excited to share that the Vail family has partnered with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to assist them on this journey. The official COTA campaign website is now live at https://cota.org/cotaforjones/

COTA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of Jones will assist with a lifetime of transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are provided free of charge, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

From the campaign website, you will be able to make contributions to COTA in honor of Jones and stay up-to-date with his transplant journey. There will be blog posts and photos from the family updating you on how Jones is doing, as well as a list of events that we will be holding to raise funds for COTA in honor of Jones.
