Last year, we reopened our evening hours on Tuesday to better serve the community, and we’re in need of volunteers to help during that time! If you love sorting things, keeping good clothes away from landfills, or participating in your local community, consider joining us at the County Clothing Center.

The Red Devil Leaders at the Crestwood Intermediate School recently held a food drive to benefit our community.
We were very happy to accept the approximately 200 items they collected!

The Portage Foundation's scholarship portal is open and accepting applications! Thanks to our wonderful fundholders and donors, we were able to award over $63,000 in scholarships to Portage County students in 2025. We have scholarships available for both trades-based and college-bound students, as well as students already enrolled in some college programs. And, we have a "common app" process where students can apply for multiple scholarships with just one submission!

November and December were busy months at the cupboard.
From the uncertainty of SNAP benefit payments combined with the holidays, we served 483 people in those two months!

To the individuals, organizations, businesses, and churches that sent their support - whether it be monetary, food donations or just notes of encouragement - please know we’re always so appreciative for everything we receive that enables us to keep our doors open and continue to serve ours neighbors in need.
