These ribbons are a sign of a town in mourning for the loss of a family member, Mike Long. He was a friend to many and teacher to others. Mike led by example. He showed his love for this town with compassion and through diligence for its safety. These ribbons can only pale in comparison to express the loss we all are feeling for our family member, friend, teacher, and police officer, who now has gained his wings.

Meetings changes! Please be advised!

Regular commission meeting has been moved (this month only) to August 25th instead of the 18th. Still at 7, still at the senior citizen center.

Planning commission has now decided to permanently move their meeting to every 3rd Thursday of the month instead of every 2nd Thursday of the month. There will be no Planning Commission Meeting this month. Planning Commission Meetings will reconvene on September 17th. Thank you.

The City of Manton is now accepting offers for the City golf cart!

Offers will be accepted until 3:00 PM on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Please reference the official notice for complete details and instructions on submitting an offer.

🔎 Want to check out the golf cart?
The golf cart will be parked in front of City Hall and available for viewing weekdays from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM through August 21st.

If these hours don’t work for you, please contact City Hall to make alternative arrangements to view the golf cart.
