The history of Roanoke Island and the historic Pea Island station can not be fully understood without taking into account the Native American history here. We encourage all to attend and hear Chief Morrison tell her compelling story.

Thanks to the Coastal Review for this. We are delighted to see our Honorary Board Member and our favorite senior delight featured here. This is certain to put another smile on Ms. Creecy’s face to learn that so many readers will learn of her incredible story.

This is such a great way to teach our youth. So glad to see projects like this underway. Building a replica of a surfboat used by the brave souls in the U.S. Life-Saving Service when no modern technology was available and to have a group of teenagers to launch it in the water would be a great way to make the incredible USLSS history known. Who knows, maybe we can get some traction on this idea too. What do you think?
