OBX Grady-White Club

OBX Grady-White Club We are a club located in the Outer Banks of NC exclusively for Grady-White Boat owners to network, participate in events, and celebrate the Grady Life!

Welcome Grady-White boat Owners and Families! The OBX Grady White Club, who’s members will consist of Grady White owners and families located in the Outer Banks, NC, live all the way from Hatteras and Ocracoke Island to the VA line. This being the first year, we will be holding an Organizational Meeting MID MAY where we are inviting all Grady-White Owners and families to come in to Manteo Marine f

or a fun casual meet and greet. (More Details to come!) There, we will discuss the organizational structure of the club, any types of events that members would be interested in participating in, and any questions that everyone will have. Light food, drinks, and prizes will be provided! If you receive the Grady-White “Anchorline” newsletter, then you have undoubtedly read about the many clubs located around the country and all of the different events they do throughout the year. The OBX Grady White Club will plan raft-up/dock-meets as well as fishing trips and tournaments, and overnighters. Your input as a member, will help determine what events we do! We are fortunate enough to be backed up not only by Grady-White, but also sponsored by Manteo Marine! Troy Sommers is the main contact at Manteo Marine for Club support and needs, though Hunter Smithwick and Allen Brown will also be available to assist you. Troy’s contact info is listed at the bottom and he is available to answer any questions you may have. So far the only event that is being planned exclusively by Manteo Marine, for club members, is a weekend trip in the latter part of August down to Ocracoke Island! We will be meeting on a Friday in Shallowbag Bay and cruising down to Ocracoke together, returning Sunday. All size Grady Whites are invited to participate as we will not be going into the ocean and will have many boats together for safety. Manteo Marine will be bringing a boat as well with a certified technician in case we do run into any unexpected issues. We plan to dock and stay at the Anchorage Marina and Inn with rooms and slips blocked off for Club members at discounted rates! While in Ocracoke, members will have the freedom to shop and explore at their leisure. Perhaps we will have a mini-fishing tournament or just a simple day of fishing. Cost to participate as well as further details will be provided throughout the coming months as we plan and work out the logistics. Of course, your input is always appreciated! We will also have a sister club “Inner Banks (IBX) Grady White Club” sponsored by our Washington, NC location, Park Boat Company, whose members will be traveling up the Pamlico River and across the sound to meet us in Ocracoke! We hope to make this an annual trip for members of both clubs to get away in a beautiful setting and further enjoy the Grady Life! Other events such a fishing trips, tournaments, cruises to dinner, picnics, community events, etc. will be talked about at the upcoming Organizational Meeting in MAY and will look for volunteers to help organize. If you are interested in joining, please reach out to Troy Sommers, via the contact information below! We look forward to embracing you into the club and enhancing your version of the Grady Life!
