Big catches and even bigger hearts! 🐟🎨

We received a very special donation thanks to a creative initiative between artist Merv Rubiano of Strategic Angler and Miss Oregon Inlet II. During their youth fishing tournament, every catch became a canvas. Merv captured the kids’ catches through artwork, and the young anglers got to choose where the proceeds were donated.

We are honored to be one of the chosen charities receiving a generous donation from this amazing collaboration. Huge thanks to Merv Rubiano, the team at Miss Oregon Inlet II, and most importantly, the young anglers, Molly, Willow, Cassie, Madison, Cobey, Charlie, Ellwood, Walker, Sydney, Harper, James, Harry, Wade, and Andrew, whose catches and hearts made this gift possible! ♥️🎣

🐾 MEET OUR TOP DOG SPONSOR: OBX HOMES! 🐾

We are so grateful to have OBX Homes standing up for strays as a 2026 Top Dog Sponsor! ❤️

Heather McLay shared why supporting the Outer Banks SPCA is so meaningful to her:

“I have always loved animals and had pet rabbits as a child. When I was in college, I adopted my first cat who was with me 17 years. Since then, I’ve had several rescue cats and dogs who have all brought so much love and happiness into my life! I’m proud to be a sponsor of our local OBX SPCA, who does an amazing job finding rescue animals loving homes.”

Thank you, Heather and OBX Homes, for sharing your love of animals and for helping us stand up for the animals who are waiting for loving forever homes. 🐶🐱❤️

🎟️ INDIVIDUAL TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW! Join us November 13 for a night of laughter, great food, drinks, a fabulous silent auction, and plenty of community spirit—all while supporting the animals of Dare County. https://onecau.se/_mm8qu1

Want to help make the night a success? We’re also still looking for silent auction donations! If you have a business, product, service, experience, or special item to donate, we’d love to hear from you. https://onecau.se/_mm8rt1

🐾 Thank you, OBX Homes, for standing up for strays!

Meet Copper and Velcro, our bounded pair 🫶🏼 they were sadly surrendered into our care because their previous owner had to go into assisted living and had no family who could take them. They previously lived with three cats, seem to be house trained, and with time both love attention! Copper takes a little more time to warm up so would do best in a home with no small children. Velcro wants nothing more than to be in your lap soaking up all of the love! If you’re interested in giving these two a forever home please call 252-475-5620 for more information or come by to meet them during our adoption hours! 🐶🐾🦴🎾

🧼 Can you help keep our shelter pets clean and cozy? 🐶🐱

Between fresh blankets, pet beds, and towel changes, our shelter goes through A LOT of laundry every day! We are currently in urgent need of a new or gently used (and fully working) washing machine to keep up with the daily load.

If you or someone you know has a working washing machine you’d be willing to donate to the Outer Banks SPCA, please reach out at 252-475-5620 or send us a message! Your support helps keep our animals healthy and comfortable while they wait for their forever homes. 💙
