Open to boys and girls; kindergarten-fifth grade Scouts can join as early as their Kindergarten year (age 5). We meet at the St.

We usually meet three times a month on Thursday nights during the school year for two Den Meetings (small groups with same age scouts) and one Pack meeting (all scouts and parents to celebrate achievements). Joseph RE building for our Den Meetings, and various locations for our Pack Meetings. When the weather is nice, we meet at the Manteno Sportsmen’s Club. During the summer we have special event

s and camping opportunities. There are some annual membership fees as well as uniform costs that are associated with scouting. Membership fees renew annually from whichever day you decide to join! A National membership fee of $85 plus a Rainbow Council fee of $80 covers an entire year of scouting. Fees can be reimbursed if you participate in our annual popcorn fundraiser. Additional support can be found in our scholarship program if needed.

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸What a great weekend!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

🇺🇸These are the temporary stewards of the Manteno Flags program. The Cub Scouts of Pack 385 stepped in to dry out and inspect 1000s of American Flags while Troop 382 caught a train to New Mexico on Sunday 🏕️🥾.

🇺🇸Thank you to Manteno Flags for this wonderful program in our town, and thank you to these scouts and neighbors for keeping these flags in tip top shape for the next holiday! Happy 250th birthday America!🇺🇸

What a beautiful day to participate in this year’s Memorial Day Parade with the Manteno American Legion as they marched to Legion Park for the final ceremony.

The Scouts (Pack 385 & Troop 382) did a magnificent job carrying the flags and showing respect throughout the entire route.

Every year, one tradition never changes. The kids race to pick up a shell casing afterward to keep as a small souvenir.

God bless all the families whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we get to enjoy each and every day.

Thank you will never be enough, but we will always remember, honor and be forever grateful. 🇺🇸

✌️Many hands make light work! Scouts teamed up with Huckleberry's Snack Shack today and helped bag up some goodies for all of the service crews helping with the disaster relief in our area.

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” -Mr. Rogers

💙Kids are smart. They know what’s going on in our community, and they can feel all of the emotions we are feeling. It can be tough to find a place for kids amongst this chaos, so to be able to help the helpers, hopefully made a little bit of a difference for someone somewhere today.
