As the school year wraps up, we realized life moves pretty fast… and you may have missed some of the awesome events we hosted this year!

First up on our recap menu: McTeacher Night! Honestly… this event came with lots of smiles and plenty of appreciation for our amazing teachers and staff.

We had such a great time hanging out at McDonald’s in Manteno with our awesome teachers, staff, families, and community.

Teachers swapped their classrooms for the fryer, drive-thru window, and food delivery duty while getting to see so many familiar and happy faces from around town.

From Happy Meals to happy memories, the night was full of fun, laughter, and teamwork …and honestly, we were lovin’ it!

💜 🐾 “Hey! Hey! Hey! What is going on here?!” It’s the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week and, “there’s no time to waste when the bell is about to ring!” We ended the week with combos so good they had everyone singing “Everybody dance now!”

Day 5: Teachers and Staff switched it up with some legit sandwiches courtesy of Honey Baked Ham! They also got treated to a variety of chips and sweet treats that were “da bomb dot com!” To top it all off, everyone rocked crazy amazing twin/group layered outfits that totally stood out!

This week they totally channeled their inner 90s vibes while enjoying food that was “all that!” From pajamas to flannels to layered looks, the teachers and staff proved they’re “too legit to quit” and cooler than The Sandlot kids yelling, “You’re killin’ me, Smalls!”

Just because Teacher Appreciation Week is over doesn’t mean we “stop, collaborate and forget them.” We could never forget them because we are always reminded by Full House, everywhere you look there’s a heart and a hand to hold onto — and our teachers are exactly that for our students every single day. They truly are “the fresh princes and princesses of the school!”

Thank you again to everyone who donated and helped plan this totally fly week!

Special thanks to Texas Roadhouse, Cozumel, and Honey Baked Ham for donating lunches to our teachers and staff! The food was “good enough, smart enough, and doggone it, people liked it!” We appreciate you all more than you know! 🐾 💜

💜 🐾 Celebrating Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week with “Ice, Ice, Baby”… alright stop! Collaborate and listen… tacos have entered the mission!

Day 4: Teachers and staff got to kick it old school by rocking their brightest neon windbreakers and dressing like their favorite 90s sitcom characters. These outfits were “all that and a bag of tortilla chips!” Honestly, everybody looked fly like they just walked straight out of a TLC music video yelling, “Don’t go chasing waterfalls”… unless it’s queso.

While chillin’ with their homies, teachers and staff also enjoyed a taco bar courtesy of Cozumel! Because as the Backstreet Boys would say, “I want it that way”… and apparently “that way” includes extra salsa.

The vibes today were totally “Groove Is in the Heart,” and the teachers proved once again they are “too legit to quit!” One more day to go and more surprises await… so everybody say “Bye Bye Bye” to boring appreciation days! 🐾 💜

💜 🐾 Guess what?! It is day 3 of teacher appreciation week and we still absolutely love our teachers and staff—like, “How you doin’?” levels of love!

Day 3: Teachers and Staff got to indulge in a laid back 90s chill day. They rocked their band shirts and flannels while holding it together with the strength of their 90s scrunchies—because “I’m the king of the world!”… or at least the classroom! Living today for the laid back vibes, because honestly, 🎶 “This is how we do it!”

This morning the school treated the teachers and staff with delicious donuts from Twisted Cupcakes and coffee from The Well—because “Central Perk” has nothing on this setup! Safe to say everyone was thinking, “Oh. My. Gosh.”

As a sweet treat surprise, the PTO snuck in and loaded the lounges with 90s junk food treats! Because nothing is sweeter than our teachers and staff—“You’re all that and a bag of bugles!”

What’s next? Stay tuned to find out what we have in store for our fantastic teachers and staff—because “You can’t handle the truth!”… the truth being, it only gets better from here! 🐾 💜

💜 🐾 It’s Day 2 of Teacher Appreciation Week!! All the teachers and staff are amazing and we seriously can’t say it enough—“We were on a break!”… just kidding, we never take a break from appreciating you.

Day 2: This morning, teachers and staff got to mix and match…not only their bagel and cream cheese options from Panera, but their outfits too! Because honestly, “How YOU doin’?” to these creative looks today!

That’s right—breakfast from Panera AND a layer-it-up, mix-and-match outfit day. Some of these combos were so bold they had us saying, “Did I do thaaaat?”

We love seeing our teachers have fun and get creative—because as Full House taught us, “You got it, dude!”

💜 🐾 Happy Day 1 of Teacher Appreciation Week for the amazing teachers and staff at Manteno Elementary School!!!

We’re throwing it way back to the 90s - because “as if!” we’d celebrate any other way!

Day 1: Teachers and staff embraced their inner couch potato — because, honestly, “this is an A+ nap situation” (okay not a real quote, but it fits 😄) — while rocking their pajamas and enjoying a fully loaded baked potato bar courtesy of Texas Roadhouse. Total “Hakuna Matata” vibes — no worries, just carbs!

And let’s be real… with that potato bar? “You’re killin’ me, Smalls!” because it was THAT good.

Huge thank you to Texas Roadhouse for making this happen! Their team showed up bright and early — proving “there’s no crying in baseball!” … but there might have been tears of joy over those rolls. We appreciate you more than Cher loves a makeover!

This is just the start! Our teachers are “all that and a bag of chips” — basically the Topanga-level iconic of education. Or in other words… “you’ve got a friend in me”, and we are so lucky you’re ours.

More surprises are coming all week long… so don’t go “buggin’!” — just stay tuned 😎 💜 🐾
