Today at Rotary, we had the pleasure of celebrating Jay Holmes’ birthday 🎉🎂 and welcoming a special guest speaker, Chelsea Herrera, AVID Teacher at East Union High School, who was joined by two of her students 👩‍🏫👩‍🎓👨‍🎓.

Chelsea shared valuable insights about the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program 🎓 and how it supports students in preparing for college and career success.

Hearing directly from students about their experiences made the presentation especially meaningful ❤️ and highlighted the real impact AVID is having on our local youth.

Programs like AVID help equip students with the skills, confidence, and support systems needed to pursue higher education 📚 and expand their future opportunities 🚀. It was inspiring to see firsthand how these students are preparing for bright futures 🌟.

A special thank you as well to the wonderful staff at Parkwest Casino Manteca and Ernie's Food & Spirits for the excellent service and delicious food 🍽️👏 — we truly appreciate it.

Thank you to Chelsea and her students for sharing their stories and for the incredible work being done to support the next generation in our community 🙌.

🤠 Rotarians Ridin’ Out for a Great Cause 🌵

Our Rotarians dusted off their boots and tipped their hats as we headed out to support the incredible ladies of Manteca Soroptimist at the Western Roundup! 🤎

It was a boot-stompin’ good time filled with hearty BBQ, fellowship, music, and dancing all while supporting a mission that helps empower women and girls through education and opportunity.

When service organizations saddle up together, our whole community wins. 🐎⭐

Big thanks to our Soroptimist partners for hosting such a fun and meaningful evening.

Rotary is always proud to ride alongside those making a difference!

Rotary Meeting Update 🔔

Great meeting this week at Rotary!
We celebrated several member wedding anniversaries 👏

Thank you to our fellow Rotarians for your continued leadership and impact in our community.

We also discussed the return of the Not Forgotten - Memorial Day Commemoration event 🇺🇸 an important tradition as we honor those who gave their lives for our country. More details to come as plans move forward.

Proud to serve alongside such an incredible group.

🚧 Traffic Update for WOODWARD & MOFFAT 🚦

Good news, everyone!

Starting Monday, February 9, Woodward Avenue at Moffat Boulevard will reopen on a limited basis from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, weather and fog permitting. ☀️🌫️

👷 Flaggers will be on site during open hours to help keep traffic moving safely and smoothly.

This will also give another access for residents of South Manteca instead of staying closed as it is now.

👍This period will help us evaluate traffic flow and safety before cal trans gets right of way and permanent solutions with the lights figured out.

🙏Thank you for your patience as we continue moving forward on the SR-99/120 Connector project.

Please drive carefully and allow a little extra time through the area. 🚗💨
