🏆 WE ARE CLUB OF THE YEAR! 🏆

We are incredibly proud and honored to share that Soroptimist International of Manteca has been named the 2025–2026 Club of the Year for the Sierra Pacific Region! 💙

Out of 29 Soroptimist clubs, this recognition is a wonderful reflection of what can happen when passionate women come together with a shared commitment to Investing in Dreams and creating brighter futures for women and girls.

This award belongs to every member of our club—those who volunteer, serve, organize, fundraise, mentor, show up, lend a hand, and give their time and hearts to our mission. It also belongs to the many community members, businesses, sponsors, and supporters who believe in what we do.

Since 1953, Soroptimist International of Manteca has been working to make a difference in the lives of women and girls in our community. We are so proud to see that commitment recognized.

We had the opportunity to make a few donations at HOPE Family Shelter. We had donated a new clothes dryer a couple months ago, we followed up with a Costco gift card, bath towels, and a 5-year warranty for the clothes dryer.

❤️ Giving Back to Our Community ❤️

As one of the final events of our 2025–2026 season, we had the opportunity to stop by HOPE Family Shelter and deliver a few special donations.

We brought bath towels, a Costco gift card, and the 5-year warranty card for a clothes dryer our club donated several months ago.

These may seem like simple things, but they make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of the 15 single moms and their young children who stay at HOPE Family Shelter. The towels, gift card, and dryer all help support the shelter’s laundry needs and the families they serve. 🧺❤️

We are grateful for the opportunity to support HOPE Family Shelter and to be able to make a difference in the lives of women and children right here in our community.

Together, we’re Investing in Dreams. 💙

And we are off to the Races! We hosted our Annual Dorothy Derby once again this year, with dinner prepared by our very own Soroptimist Sister& local Chef, Kat, owner of On The Scene Cuisine.

Once a year the horses are brought out from the pasture and placed in the corral. Participants select an equine contestant and take their places on the racecourse at the starting gate. The race is guided by announcer Carol Nunes. Amid enthusiastic cheering, shifting leads, and plenty of laughter, one horse ultimately crosses the finish line first.

The grand finale of the races is the Derby Hat Competition. Whether elegant, whimsical, outrageous, or delightfully floppy, participants proudly parade their creations, adding another layer of fun and fellowship to this special tradition.

✨ Today we celebrated our Girl of the Month for SI Manteca!
We’d like to congratulate Giselle from Weston Ranch High School. 💐 Giselle was joined by her Mom and her school Counselor Mr Guerro. 🌟 We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish in the future! 💫

Girl of the Month is a longtime celebration sponsored by Manteca Soroptimist through our fundraising efforts. Each month we recognize a Senior Girl Student from (1) of the (7) Manteca Unified Schools. She is selected by her counselors & faculty, using criteria such as a high level of involvement in School, Community & Family.

Each Girl of the Month is invited to bring her School Representative and family members to join us for lunch. During lunch we are introduced to her and have an opportunity to learn more about her and why she was chosen for the award. We hear interesting and funny anecdotes as told by family members and school staff and then we learn more from each Girl about her plans after High School.

Each Girl of the Month is presented with a Certificate, a Soroptimist charm bracelet, and a Target Gift Card.

Frida was joined by her school Principal, Mr. Foster, and school staff, Mrs. Crain, as we recognized her many achievements. 🌟 We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish in the future! 💫
