Hello Instagram Family,
Long time no talk. Our VP and I have taken the last year to refocus and shift our framework as well as take a much needed mental health break. As we begin to get back on our feet and dive back into work that involves more than just our close knit community, we have decided to rebrand. One of the first steps of this rebranding process is a name change for our organization. We will no longer work under then name “Black Lives Matter Manteca”. We believe that is time to stop trying to convince others that we matter and focus on building ourselves from within. The best way to showcase how much we matter is to uplift and provide for our OWN. Please welcome us in our new state as The Black Liberation Party. More details on our mission, goal, and framework will be presented soon, thank you for your patience during this shift and we cannot wait to show you all what we have been working on.

After months of being wrongfully accused, probation, court hearings, and more importantly trauma! All at the hands of Stockton PD, this family, MY family has finally gotten their case dismissed and are free to move on. Please believe this is not the end, we will be seeking justice for this whole ordeal that my niece still hasn’t gotten over. But for now, they can finally relax and live their lives!

We thank everyone who supported them, donated to lawyer fees, and helped get the support they needed from lawyers and the news. ❤️🤞🏽

Meet Antwaune Pierre Burrise III,
Today he should be celebrating his daddies 41st birthday with him but he can’t. His father Antwaune Burrise II, was murdered by Stockton Police Department. A murder that his family still has no information on what happen. But we don’t want to focus on his death today.

We want to focus on the beautiful life he led as a father, son, brother, nephew, and grandson. We want to remember his smile, laugh, and hug! Happy Heavenly 41st birthday Antwaune, forever missed and loved. 💜

Happy New Year everyone , first and foremost I would like to thank everyone for being patient and kind with us during our hiatus. Due to mental health concerns I (President/Founder) had to step away for a couple of months to get somethings in order. This doesn’t mean work wasn’t still being done, just meant our physical and social media presence would be lacking.

But as we begin a new year, my VP and I will be sitting down to strategize for the year. Community events, educational live streams, protest, all that and more will return very soon.

Our first order of business will be getting with the family of Antwaune Burrisse family to get them the attention and representation their fight deserves. We have already been in contact with them and will be having a conversation soon.

Again, we thank y’all for believing in us, being patient with us, and understanding that mental health always comes first.

Now help us get justice for someone in our own town. Antwaune Burrise was MURDERED by STOCKTON PD over a year ago. His family is still seeking answers and for those responsible to be held accountable. We cannot pick and choose who we fight for. We know we are late getting on this story, for reasons we will explain at another time. But we are asking that you all become familiar with this case, because pretty soon we will be working to team up with his family and help them get the answers they deserve!
