Yesterday a good friend of mine was laid-to-rest...
Robert A Carter, May He RIP
Not only a friend, but my Mentor in this History BIZ! Bob showed me that, just because he was an Electrician by trade and I was in Manufacturing, for most of my career; we could still be Experts in our Local History!

Bob wrote Five Books on our Local History, and I'm not sure in which order he wrote them...
They were: "The Mansfield Riots in 1900", History of Lexington in "Tales of the Old Timers", "Water-Powered Mills of Richland County", History of the "Sandusky, Mansfield & Newark (then Lake Erie Division of B&O) Railroads" and the only book I haven't read, about a Local Shawnee Indian.

Bob and Jackie Donated three prized artifacts of theirs, and the only Artifacts in NCOIM, Not Made in Richland County. But they are so unique and tie into our First Exhibit, "Every Town had a Mill". And according to Bob's Book, Richland County had over 180 Mills! The three artifacts came from a Grist Mill in Cadiz, OH, and are the Mill & Two Stones, a Bench and the Millwrights Toolbox.
Thank you, Bob & Jackie!

Like the Scotty McCreery song goes... "Wish I had just, Five More Minutes"...

Just when I think we can't get any more Amazing Artifacts... we get some one-of-a-kind Donations.
Starting with Tappan Glassware from the Hetler Family, then a Westing house porcelain waffle maker & Blue Roaster with Pyrex Dishes from the Bader Family, the Hunt Family sent an old Dominion Toaster from VA, the Grech Family from NJ, sent a 1927 Richland Tire made by Mansfield Tire & Rubber(I just saw a Hoffman Family Member Yesterday!) and yesterday, NCOIM received an awesome Collection from the Vinson Family, the Founders of Ideal Electric Company
Thank You!

Very nice✌️
Just one Big Mistake...
Since 1891, when the Tuby began in Shelby & in 1912, the Mansfield Sheet and Tin Plate Company, our 2 steel mill factories are still here🇺🇸
