Park It Against Bullying Park It Against Bullying unites DeSoto Parish to say NO to bullying while promoting kindness, respect, and safe spaces for all.

This began as the founding members frequently worked together to respond to significant mental health, safety, and well-being issues in our community. The Suicide Awareness Walk gave us a cause to move forward in an official direction. We are passionate about children, families, and DeSoto Parish. This organization exists to serve. Our first opportunity to serve is the Suicide Awareness Walk. The primary purpose is to raise awareness of this issue that affects so many families. It’s hard for people to talk about; it’s almost taboo. We recognize that those barriers must be broken to create positive change. Raising awareness through a walk is a great way to do that. All of the proceeds from the walk will go towards purchasing research-validated suicide prevention curriculum. This curriculum will be used to educate people in the community. Teaching them warning signs, risk factors, protective factors, and how we can all work as “gatekeepers” to be there when our friends and family are in need.
