☘️ The Krewe of Demeter Presents a St. Patrick’s Day Parade! ☘️

Winter Storm Fern may have cancelled our Mardi Gras parade, but it can’t stop the Krewe of Demeter from celebrating!

So we’re bringing the party back Demeter style with a St. Patrick’s Day Parade for the whole community to enjoy.

📅 Saturday, March 21
⏰ Parade begins at 2:00 PM
📍 Independence Avenue – Grand Cane, Louisiana

Come early and make a day of it!
🍔 Food trucks will be on site starting around noon, so bring your appetite along with your family and friends.

We would love to have participation from other Krewes and community floats to help make this a fun and festive celebration. If you’re interested in joining the parade, please reach out to us for participation details.

Let’s turn a missed Mardi Gras into a green-clad celebration full of throws, music, and community spirit!

🎉🏆 The Results Are In — and What a Win for Our Mardi Gras Community! 🏆🎉

A HUGE thank you and congratulations to everyone who participated in the Blood Drive and helped make this inaugural challenge such a success. Because of your generosity, lives will be saved — and that’s the biggest victory of all. ❤️

With an incredible 16 participants, the Spirit of Giving Trophy will proudly stay in-house with the Krewe of Demeter this year! 👑

🥈 Second Place: Krewe of Gemini with 6 participants
🥉 Third Place (tie): Krewe of Atlas and Krewe of Centaur with 5 each
👏 Strong showings also from the Krewes of Highland, Elders, Imani, and Sobek — thank you for stepping up and giving back!

On a personal note, thank you to every single donor and volunteer who gave the priceless gift of life. This is exactly what Mardi Gras spirit is all about — unity, service, and heart.

First-day numbers are in, and the race is ON! 🎉

The Krewe of Demeter is out front with 12 participants, while Gemini and Highland are tied for second with 4 each. But don’t blink—there’s all day Friday to close the gap and claim that trophy. 🏆

Come on, Mardi Gras community—this is our moment to show up, give back, and have a little friendly fun while we’re at it. Let’s finish strong and make those numbers climb! 💜💚💛
