We are honored to be chosen as this year‘s Engage Richland capstone project. The dedication, creativity, and support of these emerging community leaders will help us strengthen our Learning Zone after school program and expand the resources available to the youth we serve. We are grateful for this opportunity and excited about what we can accomplish together.

A lost job. A health crisis. Rent that became impossible to keep up with.
There are many ways someone can experience homelessness, and the help they need can look different, too.
This World Homeless Day, your gift can help provide food, shelter, and practical support for neighbors experiencing homelessness in neighbors across Northeast Ohio.
Whatever brought someone to this moment, you can help them take the next step: salarmy.us/NEO-SupportYourNeighbors ❤️

We were proud to participate in the annual Gorman-Rupp Health Fair recently. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with local agencies and businesses, share information about our programs, and highlight resources that help strengthen our community. Thank you to Gorman-Rupp Pumps for hosting such a great event!

The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development did a phenomenal job in helping to beautify our community! We are blessed to have had them tackle these projects, and their hard work is a testament to the commitment that our community has toward one another. 🙏🏻

Thank you United Way of Richland County for making this possible. 🙏🏻❤️

Thank you Ontario Local Schools and the Stingel Kindness Club ! ❤️

Members of the Stingel Kindness Club rolled up their sleeves to help load the Salvation Army van with food saved from school lunches each day. 🍎

Rather than going to waste, items such as fruit cups are donated to the Salvation Army, where they’re put to good use through its brown sack lunch program for members of our community.

We love seeing our Warriors learn that kindness can be as simple as recognizing what you have, finding a way to share it, and helping it reach someone who can use it. 🫶

💙 💛

City school busses are providing transportation to the DCC from MALABAR Intermediate. All other attendees are both parent pickup and dropoff.

The Learning Zone offers homework assistance, character development, and social skills enrichment for your child. Limited spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What Parents Are Saying:

“The Learning Zone has helped raise my children’s grades. It gives them homework assistance. It helps them to reinforce the ‘respect your elders’ rule you establish at home. It helps them learn to get along with other children besides the ones they are in school with every day.”

“My daughter has a better understanding about homework and has been better in reading and writing. She really enjoys coming here and learning. She also likes to be a part of great friendships. She also has a better attitude toward others and herself. So, thank you for being there for my daughter. Thanks a lot.”

To enroll your child, call the DCC Director at (419)-522-6141 or email [email protected].

"My comfort in my suffering is this; Your promise preserves my life." Psalm 119:50

A child's first day of school is about so much more than new backpacks and fresh notebooks.

It's about walking through the doors feeling confident, prepared, and like they belong.

For many families, back-to-school assistance can make that first day a little brighter. Your generosity helps provide the support children need to start the school year with confidence and reminds parents they don't have to face it alone.

Together, we can help children start strong. https://salarmy.us/NEO-HelpAChildSucceed

Community pride starts young! 🌟 praise the lord.

This week, our Summer Zone students used teamwork and creativity to beautify our neighborhood. They worked together to paint our raised beds in Salvation Army colors, adding a beautiful splash of color to the area. We are super proud of our campers and their dedication to get this project done despite the heat! 🖌️❤️
