Yesterday, we had the incredible opportunity to send 3 veterans out on Lake Erie for a day of perch fishing with Capt. Bo and Bloodline Lake Erie Guide Service!

The weather couldn’t have been better, but unfortunately, the perch didn’t get the memo. The bite was slow, but the guys stuck with it and managed to put 30 perch in the boat to take home!

What made the day even better was that 2 of our veterans had never caught a perch before, and we were able to be there as they caught their first ones!

At the end of the day, it’s never just about how many fish end up in the cooler. It’s about the new memories, the laughs, the time spent together, and the new friendships formed along the way. That’s what these trips are all about.

We can’t thank Capt. Bo and Bloodline Lake Erie Guide Service enough for their continued support of Ultimate Veteran Adventures and the veterans we serve. Bo has been an incredible supporter of our mission, and we’re grateful to have him in our corner.

What an amazing weekend we had a couple weekends ago with Capt. Hunter from Modified Outdoors Bowfishing Charters!

Unfortunately, we had a few last-minute cancellations, so there were only three of us able to make the trip. And man… did they miss out!

It took us a little bit to get locked in with the bows, but once everyone did, IT WAS ON! If you’ve never experienced jumping carp before, it’s something you have to see for yourself. The vibration from the motor gets these fish flying out of the water—and sometimes right into the boat!

Between netting fish as they jumped, shooting them with the bows, and picking up the ones that decided to join us in the boat, it was an absolute blast. I’m pretty sure every person on that boat got hit by a fish at least once! 😂

We filled barrels with fish, but as always, that’s only a small part of what these trips are really about. The new friendships, nonstop laughs, camaraderie, and memories made together are what make experiences like this so special.

And nothing went to waste! All of the fish were donated to a local pig farmer to help feed his pigs, which made the trip even better.

A HUGE thank you to Capt. Hunter for taking such great care of us. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and knows how to put on one heck of an experience.
