Karate is beneficial for everyone, but it has specific benefits for women that are of importance.
It helps to build:
Personal Safety- Women are, unfortunately, often victims of violent attacks. We strive to instill self-defense strategies that not only help you get out of a dangerous situation but may also help prevent one from occurring.
Confidence- Our dojo provides a welcoming and comforting environment for you to challenge yourself and step outside your comfort zone without scrutiny, building confidence.
Stress Relief- Many parts of life come with stressors. Karate helps to provide stress relief by focusing your mind and body on continuous movement, allowing stressful thoughts to ease.
Strength- As women age, our bones weaken; karate works your body to build strength and muscle, and building muscle helps increase bone density!
