✨ A Dream Come True in Rome ✨
Ten years ago, the Visual Bucket List Foundation's story began in Rome. This year, that story came full circle.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, 13-year-old Shane and his family were able to experience the trip of a lifetime to the Eternal City.
Shane lives with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that is slowly taking his vision. Knowing that his ability to see the world may become more limited over time, Shane's dream was to experience Rome while he still could—and together, we helped make that dream a reality.
During their unforgettable adventure, Shane and his family explored Rome on a private golf cart tour, taking in the city's breathtaking landmarks and rich history. They stepped back in time with a private tour of the Colosseum and even participated in Gladiator School, creating memories that will last a lifetime. They enjoyed a hands-on private cooking class, learned authentic Italian culinary traditions, and shared the ultimate Italian dining experience surrounded by family, laughter, and incredible food.
For the VBLF team, this trip held special meaning. Returning to the city where our mission first began a decade ago and helping Shane experience his dream destination was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Every journey we grant is about more than travel—it's about creating lasting memories, celebrating life's possibilities, and helping individuals experience the places they've always dreamed of seeing.
To everyone who has supported the Visual Bucket List Foundation over the past 10 years: thank you. Your generosity, encouragement, and belief in our mission made this dream possible for Shane and his family. Because of you, they were able to create priceless memories together in one of the world's most remarkable cities.
Thank you for helping us turn dreams into reality, one visual bucket list at a time.💚🇮🇹
