We had a wonderful banquet at Mansfield Liederkranz Sport & Kulture to end our 2026 year of service. We had the honor of welcoming our newest board members and initiating two new members. Our beloved Rita Etzwiler was honored with the Ann Deley Memorial Award that honors the Mansfield Altrusan who most epitomizes the ideals of Altrusa International. Congratulations to all!

Did you know that Altrusa District 5 (Ohio and Michigan) has 23 clubs that sponsor 5 Astra clubs in their local schools. We are proud of our sister club Altrusa International of Branch County MI for the work they do through Astra each year! 🥇

Tonight, I had the true honor of presenting the Quincy Astra Scholarship on behalf of Altrusa International of Branch County to Miss Saylor Fraley. Saylor truly embodies everything Altrusa stands for through her dedication, leadership, compassion, and commitment to serving others. This recognition is incredibly well deserved, and we are beyond grateful to celebrate her achievements. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will continue to accomplish in the future! Way to go Saylor!!!!

Thanks to Altrusa Club member and Little Free Library steward Candy Brenner, copies of Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke — the Good Morning America Book Club April pick — are being placed in Little Free Libraries around our community.

Each year, Mansfield Altrusa awards scholarships to students at Madison Adult Career Center—and this year, four outstanding individuals received $500 each to support their education.
