For 80 years, the Richland County Foundation has been doing extraordinary good with ordinary gifts. We have made hundreds of millions of dollars in grants to help transform the lives of students attending college, kids going to summer camp, towns being beautified, teachers receiving classroom supplies, senior citizens being supported, and all kinds of organizations supporting all kinds of residents. None of this would be possible without the generosity of those who were raised here, live here, and choose to call Richland County home.

A New Scholarship Fund Celebrates Judge Jeff Payton

A scholarship fund has been established through the Richland County Foundation to honor and preserve the legacy of Judge Jeff Payton—a man who dedicated his life to fairness and integrity, in the city he proudly called home.

The Judge Jeff Payton Scholarship Fund serves as a lasting tribute to his unwavering commitment to justice, community and expanding opportunities for others.

This Fund is dedicated to supporting minority students as they pursue higher education, whether through a traditional four-year college or a career technical education center. It is a fitting tribute to a leader who believed in the potential of every person he met.
