CHW services are just another facet of Rubies that don’t get talked about enough.
Today, alongside our partnering agencies and Community Health Access Project, we had the opportunity to celebrate the incredible employees who provide these life-changing services every day.
From team-building fun at Buckeye Imagination, an amazing lunch from MVP, to letting loose at the new Apex, it was a day filled with appreciation, connection, and well-deserved fun.
But what exactly are Community Health Worker (CHW) services?
CHWs serve as a bridge between individuals, families, and the resources they need to thrive. They walk alongside people facing challenges such as housing instability, recovery, mental health concerns, transportation barriers, healthcare access, employment needs, and other social determinants of health. Through advocacy, education, goal-setting, referrals, and ongoing support, CHWs help people navigate complex systems and move toward stability and self-sufficiency.
At Rubies, our CHWs do more than connect women to resources—they build relationships, provide encouragement, and help individuals discover hope, healing, and a path forward.
