🚸 Back to School: PA Bus Safety Reminders for Drivers! 🚌

As Pennsylvania schools get back in session, let's make sure we're all following the rules to keep our kids safe:

🔴 Red flashing lights and an extended stop arm mean the bus is stopped to load or unload kids. By PA law, you must stop at least 10 feet away, whether behind the bus or approaching from the opposite direction. Stay stopped until the red lights stop flashing and all children safely cross the street.

🟡 Yellow flashing lights mean the bus is preparing to stop. SLOW down and be ready to stop—kids might be crossing soon.

⚠️ Never pass a bus on the right-hand side, it's illegal and hazardous.

Remember, in PA, fines for passing a stopped school bus can be up to $250, plus 5 points on your driving record, and a 60-day license suspension.

Attention community members! Mansfield Connect is excited to announce that the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College is teaming up with local partners, including the Wellsboro Police Department, Vineyard Church of Wellsboro, Clarkstown United Methodist Church, and Christ Church Wellsboro, to bring you the Keeping Our Churches Safe Seminars.

These valuable courses will be held in Muncy in August and Wellsboro in November. If you're interested in learning more and registering, please review the photos below or contact Andrea Kessler
