Today, the members of Mansfield Firefighters Local 1820 pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a time to reflect on the courage, selflessness, and dedication of those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. We are forever grateful to all who have served, and especially to those who laid down their lives for others.

From all of the Firefighters of Local 1820, we thank our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice, and will forever honor their legacies!

The members of Mansfield Firefighters Local 1820 send our deepest condolences to the men and women of the Boston Fire Department following the tragic loss of Boston Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr.

Firefighter Kilduff, a 24-year veteran, proud U.S. Marine, and third-generation firefighter, made the ultimate sacrifice last night after falling from a burning home on Treadway Street in Dorchester.

We extend our thoughts and prayers to Bob’s family, friends, and our brothers and sisters of Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF during this incredibly difficult time.

Local 1820 would like to wish a Happy EMS Week to all first responders, EMTs, and paramedics who continuously serve and protect their communities with professionalism, compassion, and dedication.

We would especially like to recognize and thank our four EMTs and thirty-seven paramedics proudly serving the Town of Mansfield. Your commitment to providing exceptional emergency medical care does not go unnoticed. Each day, you make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents through your skill, sacrifice, and unwavering service to others.

On May 11th, 2026, the Mansfield Firefighters of Local 1820 proudly hosted our annual golf tournament at the Norton Country Club in Norton, MA.

We would like to sincerely thank all of our sponsors, raffle donors, and golfers for supporting this year’s tournament. Your generosity and participation helped make the event a tremendous success.
