September 1 will be the final day to pick up your still project premiums. Money can be claimed by parent/guardian or exhibitor at the Senior Fair Office during its regular business hours, 8:00 am-4:00 pm.

Are you a Jr Fair exhibitor who will be 14 or older by January 1, 2027? Do you like to help? Would you like to grow your leadership skills? If you answered yes to any or all of those questions, consider applying to be a part of the 2027 Richland County Jr. Fair Board. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, to make new connections, and build lasting relationships. Applications are due September 15. Contact Trudi with any questions. Here are the stats on our Stock the Trailer
-collected 3,430 lbs of donations
-delivered our donations to 5 different food pantries across the county
-earned $500 from Farm Credit
-maybe more $$$ depending on how we stack up against other Jr Fairs in our district

Thank you to everyone who contributed! We are already brainstorming ideas to improve on the program for next year.

Because Trudi is back to educating the youth of America, she won’t be at the Jr Fair Office regularly. She is leaning on her cohorts to help y’all meet your deadlines.

💰 Premiums for still and breeding projects can be picked up at the Senior Fair Office on Thursday, Aug 20 and Friday, Aug 21 during its regular business hours (8:00 am-4:00 pm). Premiums may be picked up by the exhibitor or parent, not by the advisor.

📨 Award thank you notes and buyer thank you notes can be turned in at the Extension Office. Remember, buyer thank yous must be turned in by September 15. Don’t just drop these notes in the mail yourself. We want to mark them off our list before they are sent. Turn in notes in unsealed, addressed, stamped envelopes.

As the loads of laundry get tackled, the campers get cleaned, and the show equipment gets packed away, I want to send a huge thank you to everyone. We’ve made it through a county fair of many changes, new faces, and lots of mud. You extended your grace, and I am truly grateful.

Get some rest and get those kids into the school routine.
