The days have been so very busy between family and caring for animals, etc. I forgot to post last week, but Sabrina found her forever home! It was meant to be bc her new owner had lost her polydactyl tuxedo (male) last year! And here comes beautiful Sabrina a polydactyl tuxedo female needing a home!

Happy birthday to one of our own cats, Little Joe! Named after the T.V. show Bonanza!
Fun fact, we had male siblings once all named after Bonanza characters!

Sweet Pea 🫛 did not end up having her dental extractions this morning. We dropped her off at Rescue One. They did a recheck on her bloodwork and unfortunately it had not improved in the areas they needed it to. It had actually worsened since last week. So no anesthesia or surgery. They did do xrays and an ultrasound for further examination while she was up there again. Visibly she seemed to be improving but in a case like this one it is so hard to know. They are now thinking she is closer to 13 years old. Again, hard to say with certainty due to the extent of her mouth disease. But bloodwork and other things point to a senior cat closer to that age range. We have new medications to take as well as continue our current medications. We have a recheck scheduled in 2 weeks unless she begins to worsen or stop eating. Then she will be seen sooner. Continue prayers for Sweet Pea 🫛.

Sweet Pea 🫛 has a dental extraction surgery tomorrow at Rescue One. This most likely will be a full mouth due to the severity. This is our next step. She is coming along well considering where she was a week ago. She is eating good, taking her medicine, and making good potties. A couple recent photos.
