For those that attend shopping trips, please read closely as details for next weeks trip have changed.

For those that love cookies be sure to check out this Friday's cafe menu - Jessy and Sylvia have quite the array of cookies and fall treats this time around!

Don't forget to visit us at 12:30 today for the free Instrumental Guitar Performance.

Cold weather is seeming to come just in time for the Giving Tree, which opens later today! Also scroll through the update for safe heating information and reminders.

Lastly please remember that the Senior Center is closed next Monday, October 12th, and the Veterans Coffeehouse is moved to Tuesday, October 13th.

This is a great opportunity for Veterans to learn more about this important information and ask questions directly, we hope to see you there 🙂

October is here, bringing the season of giving. L4120 supports the Mansfield Human Services as a collection center for food and goods our community needs. Please consider donating to support a worthy cause: neighbors helping neighbors. You can drop off items at Station 307 (999 Storrs Road) anytime during the month. Drop off on October 10th and meet some of the staff. Together, we can restock the shelves for those in need. We thank you for your support.

Dear MSC Members,
It's officially the last day of Senior Center Month! Thank you to all who came by to celebrate and participate in the shenanigans. Don't forget to attend our final bash today, 9/30 at 1:30 p.m. - The Variety Show! Acts are ready to go, come enjoy the afternoon while showing support for your peers.

Also this week, don't miss these important deadlines:
Today! Classical Music Club zoom link is going out this afternoon; sign-up to receive it for tomorrow's class.
10/1 registration deadline for Donna Franklin's next nutrition class "Smart Snacking" - we cannot accept late registrations for this one!
10/2, 12 noon registration deadline for first week of Oct. lunch menus, Monday's Lunch and Learn
There's lot's coming up next week in addition to activities with deadlines above. Make sure you click for information on the Vaccine Clinic & Wellness Fair, Community Dinner, Free Instrumental Guitar Performance, Bereavement Support Group, and the free Bone Density presentation.

As we're thinking about storms, we're sharing this again ahead of the winter season.

*Snowplow Operations/Landscapers/Community Groups/Volunteers*

If you are interested in having your contact information put on a list to be given out to senior residents, many of whom are on fixed incomes, who inquire about snow removal (driveways, vehicle clean-off, walkway shoveling) please send your name, contact information, whether you are a business owner or volunteer (name organization if applicable), and the tasks you are able to help with. Email to [email protected] or call 860-429-0262 to provide your information by phone.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a program or service provided by the Senior Center. We are simply attempting to be pro-active by having a potential resource list available in the event these inquiries are received. Those who provide their information agree to having these details shared with inquiring residents. All agreements will be between individual parties.
