Reminder ➡️ Bingo will be today at 10:00 in the media center. This event is put on monthly by Melissa King with Hospice Satilla. We are thankful for how they show up for our community each and every month! This is for ALL of the young at heart 55+ people who would like to join! Free to play, refreshments to eat, prizes to win, and fun to have. Sounds like a great time to us! See you there ☀️

As the Georgia Forestry Command Center comes to a close we want to extend the highest gratitude to the Georgia Forestry Commission for trusting our facility to serve as a command center during this time. It has truly been an honor to play even a small part in supporting the men and women (from ALL over the country) who worked tirelessly to protect the communities, homes, and families affected by these fires.

We also want to thank our community, from the bottom of our hearts, for showing support when it was needed the most. The prayers, meals, donations, encouragement, and countless acts of kindness have meant more than words can say. Your impact will not be forgotten.

To quote several crew members from other states, “I have always heard of southern hospitality, but I never knew what it meant until now.” ❤️

These firefighting crews are continuously showing up for long hours, tough conditions, and the unknown. Meanwhile this community is continuously showing up with donations of supplies, encouragement, support, and prayers. Those fighting the fires are able to do it with what they need and the reminder that people truly care. These crews aren’t just from Georgia—they’ve come from New Mexico, California, South Dakota, and beyond all to support this effort.

As stated in previous posts we will update periodically on current supply needs ⬇️

The firefighting crews at the GA Forestry Command Center are incredibly grateful for the supplies that have been donated thus far! The support and love that has been shown from this community (including those from miles away) has been inspiring! With that said, there are still several items that are in need. We will post items below and update throughout the week as needs see fit! Thank you again for your wonderful support ❤️

🚨Just a small look at the current GA Forestry Command Center!🚨

If you feel so led to show support you can donate items listed below ⬇️

⭐️Current Main Need⭐️
- Pop Topped Canned Goods (Vienna Sausage, Chef Boyardee, Boiled Peanuts, Pork and Beans, ect)

Other Needs
- Beef Jerky
- Travel Pack Ibuprofen/Tylenol
- Liquid I.V. Packets
- Plastic Utensils
- Small Zip Lock Bags
- Prepackaged Snacks (Crackers, Chips, ect.)

These people are working tirelessly day in and day out to help combat the fires. Each morning the parking lot is absolutely packed with trucks and equipment ready to tackle whatever situation arises. They are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and support from this community.

Due to the current situation with the fires and our Community Center being an active command center for Georgia Forestry we are rescheduling bingo to May 18th! Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing everyone soon! Please continue to pray for those dealing with/affected by these fires! 🙏🏼
