The Human and Equine Sanctuary, INC. T.H.E. Sanctuary, INC. We are located just East of Austin, in the town of Manor.

Established December of 2017, our mission is to promote human and equine wellness, through equine activities and refuge.

1st photo-March 4th 2025 Cupid was adopted by our organization from Elm Creek, Nebraska.
We are anout five months into his journey.
2nd photo-August 6th, 2025.

He’s been quite the teacher for us. He is sensitive, smart, loving, would walk through fire for me. He picks up cues with the slightest movement.
Cupid has also been sensitive to rehab. He has been dewormed, teeth floated, feet done, he is currently on day 5 of ulcer treatments, and we are looking at getting a variety of blood panels next Monday as well as X-rays and evaluation by a specialist.
We are also bumping up his feed program to see if we can help him develop topline.

Super Nova is a 2024 model BLM Mustang. Gelding. From Twin Peaks HMA.

Nova was adopted out of the recent auction July 18th in Livingston, TX.

Nova will be trained in hand while with us. And will be available for adoption. He is about 14’1 or 14’2 right now and should mature to 16 hands. We will get better measurements on him soon.

He is being trained by my daughter, which highlights all of the amazing things about mustangs. Twin Peaks horses are known for being wonderful partners.

If you are interested in donating to his care needs please let me know. This will include feed, veterinary care, hoof care, and costs towards training. He just came back from a three day training with my daughter, he is a quick study.

March 4th, 2025 The Sanctuary adopted Dreams of Cupid from the BLM holding favility in Nebraska, Elm Creek. He is a 2022 model gelding from Augusta Mountains HMA.

Our President and Founder decided to dedicate some time, love and energy towards mustangs and see how they fit in our program.

To help motivate her to stay on track with training, and have fun with the mustang community she signed up for the Forever Branded event in Texas, Branded Bonanza Texas.

These photos are about 4 months apart. Cupid is very very intelligent and athletic. We cannot wait to continue to see his improvements.

Paloma was adopted last week by an amazing family. Today we joined together for her graduation from her dog class. She has done so well and grown so much since she was captured. It is amazing to see her flourish and bloom 🕊️ we wish her the best in her future 🤍🤍🤍

Yesterday morning Paloma had another lesson. She was the only dog, which worked out great. She is progressing nicely. This morning she met her first potential adopter. She will be a blessing to whatever family she joins, she is such a soft soul. Photos are at PETCO with the trainer.

Moose was adopted last week by a couple he immediately connected with when they first met about two weeks ago. We were all able to attend his puppy class celebration. I’m so happy for him and his future 💗💗💗

Paloma rocked her basic behavior class today, week two! So proud of her. I’m thinking the other pup’s dad kinda likes her… maybe we have a potential adopter. 🤷‍♀️

Moose and Paloma are taking classes at PETCO. One is a puppy class and one is a more advanced group because they need to be in different classes and because of their age and maturity. Today is day 2 for Moose and day 1 for Paloma. They are doing great!!!!!! 🤍💜🤍 Both are available for adoption, crate trained, fixed, immunized, and walk nice on a leash.

Moose is still looking for his forever home. He is 5-6 months old. Neutered. Sits. Lays Down. Walks nicely on a leash. Is crate trained. Up to date on shots. Microchipped. He needs a fun loving home to call his own 💜 contact me with interest or questions, thanks 💜

Moose had his first day of school, and fell asleep at the end. An hour is hard work. We brought him to the store two times before his first lesson to help him become familiar with the setting. He was much better traveling in the car and confident walking into the store. This is a 6 week course. Paloma starts her class next week 🤍🤍🤍
