Today we commemorate Juneteenth, the day in 1865 when news of emancipation finally reached the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

Juneteenth is a powerful reminder: freedom wasn’t granted all at once, and the fight for justice and equity continues today.

We honor the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans—past, present, and future.

Let’s celebrate Black history, elevate Black voices, and commit to building a better, more just future for all.

Manor Community Day & 5K is ALMOST HERE❗️

The Manor Community 5K is designed to promote healthier habits among low-income families to aid in addressing health inequities. The run will focus on physical activity and making healthier food choices. Participants will be able to walk or run a 5K course and enjoy a variety of healthy snacks and refreshments upon completing the event. We are also providing access to free health screenings, as well as other free health resources from local organizations. This event is a great way for low-income families to get active, learn about healthy living, and make positive changes in their lives.

❕We are waiving registration fees for anyone who presents their MAP (Medical Access Program) Cards! On-site registration only. 

Participants will receive:
🔅Shirt
🔅Bib
🔅Finisher medal

If you register same day/on-site, you are not guaranteed to receive a shirt or finisher medal. Only guaranteed to those who register before 06/05/2025!

All are welcome to participate - whether as a walker/runner, or cheerleader. The goal is to encourage people to live healthier and improve the quality of their lives.
