C.H.A.N.C.E for Success is a private nonprofit education-basedorganization whose mission is to empower young people to reach their potential by providing comprehensive youth development services in a diverse and supportive environment. The program, founded in 2019, focuses on the education and development of at-risk youth in the Greater Northeast Austin area, between the ages of 12 and 17 selected based on their demographic, geographic, and socioeconomic conditions. The program only offers services to this population due to limited resources available, however the program is to expand exponentially to cover Central Texas and eventually to neighboring cities throughout Texas and the southern states. The objective of the program is to provide education and job skills training to increase their value to the workforce, and potential in obtaining gainful employment and career development.
The inspiration and vision for C.H.A.N.C.E for Success came from the life, education, and career experiences of the program founders who experienced the first-hand effects of being raised in a household with limited resources and the resulting adversities that accompany it. The experiences have driven them to foster relationships with at-risk youth in the community in which they are a part and reach out to those abroad, all to give them a “chance for success”.
