Cub Scout Pack 51 out of Manomet Massachusetts is all about having fun! Our Pack includes boys and girls from the South Plymouth area; it's not exclusive to one particular elementary school. We have a strong parent volunteer base to help the Pack Go! Siblings are always welcome at Den and Pack meetings. We have lots of girls who have said they like Cub Scouts more then Girl Scouts! We always make it a family affair! For information about joining, you can message our page.

Blue and Gold was a great time. We were also able to recognize our Arrow of Lights scouts on earning their rank. Thanks to Manomet Troop 51 for helping our AOLs crossover to the Troop. Congratulations to everyone.

Several scouts from Packs 51 and 1620, as well as Troop 51, celebrated Scout Sunday at St. Bonaventure parish. It was a chilly morning, but scouts were able to practice being Reverent and exercising their Duty to God.

Calling all scouts! Join Pack 51 this Sunday at St. Bonaventure Church as we celebrate Scout Sunday. Scouts are encouraged to wear their Class A uniform as we practice being reverent and exercising our “Duty to God.” Scouts do not have to subscribe to any specific faith to attend, all are welcome. For scouts who are participating, please make sure to arrive by 9:45 for the 10am service.

The Methods of Scouting:

Uniform
Cub Scout uniforms serve a dual purpose, demonstrating that a Scout is part of a team and showing individual achievement (Scouts wear the badges they’ve earned). Wearing the uniform to meetings and activities also encourages a neat appearance, and good behavior.

The Methods of Scouting:

Serving the Neighborhood
Cub Scouting focuses on the home and neighborhood. It helps Scouts strengthen connections to their local communities, which in turn supports their growth and development.

The Methods of Scouting:

Activities
Cub Scouts participate in a huge array of activities, including games, projects, skits, stunts, songs, outdoor activities, trips, and service projects. Besides being fun, these activities offer opportunities for growth, achievement, and family involvement.

The Methods of Scouting:
Family Involvement
Whether a Cub Scout lives with two parents or one, a foster family, or other relatives, their family is an important part of Cub Scouting. Parents and adult family members provide leadership and support for Cub Scouting and help ensure that Scouts have a good experience in the program.

It’s official, the Pack is Back!

We were able to recognize some of our scouts for their continued scouting over the summer and even recognize our Bear Den Leader for his commitment to self-improvement and training. We rely on our adult leaders who volunteer; we really appreciate your help. Scouts worked on several stations to earn their Bobcat advancement. We even had some indoor s’mores.

The Methods of Scouting:
Advancement
Recognition is important to everyone. The advancement plan provides fun for the Scouts, gives them a sense of personal achievement as they earn badges, and strengthens family understanding as adult family members and their den leader work with them on advancement projects.

The Methods of Scouting:

Belonging to a Den
The den is ideally a group of six to eight children who are in the same grade. It is the place where Cub Scouting starts. In the den, Cub Scouts develop new skills and interests, practice sportsmanship and good citizenship, and learn to do their best, not just for themselves but for the den as well.

We had a great afternoon at Briggs Field at our Scout Social. Scouts enjoyed some ice cream, water bottle rockets and more. We’re always looking for more Scouts to share some awesome adventures.
