The words of a sweet mother...
Four years without him calling to check in and saying LOVE YOU, hearing rap playing too loud in his ear buds, seeing the latest cut and style of his beautiful head of hair, worrying and praying that he will remain strong and defeat the demons of drug addiction. Today I replay the many one liners JL was famous for repeating, the laughter always provided, the tender heart he shared with those less fortunate or broken, but the one thing I remember most is him telling me, I HAVE SOME THINGS I WANT TO TALK ABOUT WHEN I SEE JESUS. I look for joy today in knowing John and Jesus have shared a lot of chats, John his free from addiction, and now Manning has a place for others that also struggle from the terrible effects of drugs and alcohol. John’s Place is open for not the user, but also family and friends that spend sleepless nights questioning, what do I do to help my loved one?
If you knew John Landon, I hope his name brings a smile to your face remembering his love of making others happy. If you are struggling, go by John’s Place or other facility… take the step… if you want to remember John in an ongoing way, there are many opportunities to help others… call Terry Jo Gregory at John’s Place. She can point you in the right direction.
It is a day to celebrate John Landon… I am listening to Rap Music all day🎵🎤🎶
