This petite sweetheart is Sister, an 8-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix weighing just 8.6 lbs—the perfect little companion with a lite energy level, ready for both playtime and snuggles 💕

Sister was found as a stray on the edge of town. She had a microchip—but it was never registered—so now she’s ready for a fresh start with someone who will love her forever ❤️

Dachshunds were bred to hunt badgers however the miniatures are more suited for hunting small game like rabbits —brave, loyal, and famous for their love of burrowing under blankets! They typically live 12–16 years 🐾
Chihuahuas may be tiny, but they have huge personalities and bond closely with their humans. They often enjoy long lifespans of around 14–17 years 💖

We got a wonderful plush toy donation. The pups are so excited. This one was so depressed when he came in until I told him to pick a toy!! Sometimes it doesn’t take much to cheer up a sad pup. ❤️

Roscoe is a pup, under 2 yo
Crocket is approximately 7 yo
Roscoe is playful
Crocket is calm
Roscoe is silly
Crocket is serious
Roscoe loves to keep toys all over his room
Crocket keeps his room nice and tidy

Both are the best in their own way.

We were hesitant to introduce them as playmates but they are the only two at the shelter atm. So we gave it a shot.

Against all odds, they get along. They even like each other.

They both are so friendly, I don’t thinks there is anyone they wouldn’t get along with. ❤️
