We couldn't have asked for a better finish to the summer at YMCA Camp Evergreen! 🌲☀️ Session 4 was full of camp spirit, big smiles, and unforgettable memories across every single unit.

From our Touch-a-Truck event to the epic Campers vs. Staff showdown for the Key to Camp during Who's Camp Is It Anyway?, plus all the spooks and festive fun at Summerween, this final week was one for the history books! 🚛🍉🦇

We also loved gathering with our camp families for Family Night to honor our outstanding campers during our Honor Camper Ceremony and recognize our incredible Staff of the Summer. Role Model of the Summer: Omarah George, Rookie of the Summer: Jon Corl, Counselor of the Summer: Anabel Bartkowiak, Staff of the Summer: Austin Bryan🏅✨

A huge thank you to all of our campers, staff, and families for making this season so special—we couldn't have done it without you! Have an amazing school year, and we can’t wait to see you next year! 👋💙

A massive THANK YOU to all of our local emergency crews, first responders, and hometown heroes who took time out of their busy schedules to visit us at YMCA Camp Evergreen today! 🚁🚑🚒

Watching our campers' eyes light up as they sat in the driver’s seats, explored the equipment, and met the amazing people behind the sirens was the absolute highlight of our week. We are so grateful for your dedication and for making today so special for our camp family! ❤️

Sound the sirens! 🚨 Tomorrow is Touch-a-Truck Day at camp!

We’re welcoming local emergency crews and first responders to camp tomorrow for a special interactive experience. Campers will get an up-close look at:

🚁 Helicopters

🚑 Ambulances

🚒 Fire Trucks

🚓 Police Cars

They'll get to explore the vehicles, meet the teams, and see what it takes to be a hometown hero!

That’s a wrap on an amazing Session 3! 🌲☀️ We’ve had an incredible time with all of our campers, and we've loved seeing all the smiles and memories made.

But the fun isn't over yet! Get your best costumes ready because tomorrow is officially Summerween! 🍉🦇

Be sure to join us tomorrow evening for our Summerween Family Night 6-8:30pm, which will also include our Honor Camper Ceremony and Staff of the Year Awards. We can't wait to celebrate with you all and recognize our outstanding campers and staff for their hard work and camp spirit! 🏅🏕️

That concludes a wonderful Week 1 of Session 3! Here is a look at what our campers have been up to:

🌊 Waterfront Update: We are incredibly excited to announce that our new Wibit has officially arrived!

🐾 Special Guest: A special thank you to Chivon from C3 K9 Solutions, LLC for teaching our campers about safe dog greetings and canine behavior. They proudly offer professional training solutions for dogs of all ages throughout the Syracuse and surrounding areas.

That’s a wrap on an unforgettable Session 2! ☀️✨

We’ve had so much fun over the last two weeks, but the summer energy isn’t slowing down anytime soon. We’re ready to dive right into Session 3, and we’re kicking things off in style!

✌️🕶️ GET READY: This Wednesday is Braids, Shades & Hippie Days! Throw on your favorite sunglasses, rock your best braids, and bring all the peace, love, and groovy vibes to camp. We can't wait to see everyone's outfits! ✌️🌈

Session 2 Week 1 is in the books, and it was a special one!

We want to send a huge shout-out and thank you to Syracuse Rebels Football & Cheer. They spent time teaching our campers the fundamentals of football, running drills, and showing them what true teamwork looks like.

Our campers left the field with big smiles and new skills. Thank you for giving back to the kids and being a highlight of our summer! 🔴🔵

🔴 Today's air quality is currently in the Red (Unhealthy) category.

Our camp leadership teams are actively monitoring conditions throughout the day and will continue to adjust activities based on the latest guidance.

Camps will be keeping activities indoors whenever possible and if activities must be outdoors, they will be less-intense, downtime activities (such as games, coloring/drawing, etc).

Campers with asthma or other respiratory conditions will be supported according to their individual health plans, and our staff will ensure that any necessary quick-relief medications are readily available.

We will continue to monitor air quality throughout the day and are looking forward to it improving!
