One Bright Star

One Bright Star When you see someone wearing the One Bright Star symbol, recognize and support them. You're not reminding them.

"If you know someone who has lost a child or lost anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. What you're reminding them of is that you remember that they lived, and that's a great, great gift.'"...Elizabeth Edwards

We are incredibly honored to once again sponsor the Ofrenda Garden at Old Town Day of the Dead.

An ofrenda is a beautiful altar created to honor and remember loved ones who have died. Filled with photos, meaningful keepsakes, flowers, candles, and favorite items, it celebrates their life, love, and lasting legacy.

At One Bright Star, we believe remembrance is a powerful part of healing, and we are grateful to be part of a community that embraces love, remembrance, and connection in such a meaningful way.

Thank you, Old Town Day of the Dead, for allowing us to be part of this beautiful tradition. We look forward to honoring the children who are forever in our hearts alongside so many other cherished loved ones. šŸ’™ā

July is National Bereaved Parents Month, a time to recognize the lifelong love parents have for the children they have lost and to honor the strength it takes to carry that loss. It is also an opportunity to offer compassion, remember every child, and remind bereaved parents that they are not alone.

There is never a time when a bereaved parent forgets that they have lost a child. There is never a moment that a bereaved parent doesn’t miss their child.

It is incumbent for all of us as friends and family of bereaved parents to reach out with love and support, offering resources that parents may not be aware of. It’s a time to let them know that they are not alone in their grief.

Silence around the loss of a child is not an option. We must reach out and talk about and remember those children. Love lives on and hope is mandatory.

We would be honored if you left a photo in the comments of your child and share as much as you wish about your loss. Or, leave a comment of support for those that are grieving the loss of a child.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who love, guide, and support their children every day.

Today, we hold a special place in our hearts for the fathers whose child is in heaven. We honor your enduring love, your strength, and the bond that death cannot break.

May you find moments of peace in the memories you cherish and comfort in knowing your child’s light continues to shine through you.

šŸ’™ With love, from all of us at One Bright Star
