Scholarship Opportunity!

Applications are now open for the James Burnett and Donald Clelland Social Justice Scholarship!

One undergraduate or graduate student will receive a $2,500 scholarship to support education-related expenses.

This opportunity is intended for students who demonstrate financial need and are involved in or committed to work addressing social inequities and social justice.

Application Deadline: September 30, 2026

Community Partnerships invites you to take part in a guided environmental justice experience exploring sustainability and community-based initiatives across Mankato!

📍 Pick-up: Centennial Student Union
🚌 Transportation for the tour will be provided.

Along the way, participants will learn about environmental initiatives at MNSU, food rescue efforts, community gardening, and Minneopa State Park.

Today we watched a video on Minnesota’s cumulative impact law and reflected on its impact. We also heard from Edgar Hernández (Many Rivers Network) on social impact in rural communities.
