Sustainable Justice Network | Fall 2026

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to come together for our Sustainable Justice Network Meeting at Minnesota State University, Mankato!

We were honored to welcome Simón Uribe, documentary filmmaker and researcher, who shared valuable perspectives on Rural Voice: Resilience in the Face of Environmental Displacement, encouraging meaningful conversations about environmental justice, resilience, and the challenges facing rural communities.

A special thank you to COPAL, GRACE, and all our community partners, students, faculty, and staff who joined us and contributed to this important conversation.

Together, we continue building connections, raising awareness, and strengthening our commitment to more sustainable and equitable communities.

Scholarship Opportunity!

Applications are now open for the James Burnett and Donald Clelland Social Justice Scholarship!

One undergraduate or graduate student will receive a $2,500 scholarship to support education-related expenses.

This opportunity is intended for students who demonstrate financial need and are involved in or committed to work addressing social inequities and social justice.

Application Deadline: September 30, 2026

Community Partnerships invites you to take part in a guided environmental justice experience exploring sustainability and community-based initiatives across Mankato!

🚌 Transportation for the tour will be provided.

Along the way, participants will learn about environmental initiatives at MNSU, food rescue efforts, community gardening, and Minneopa State Park.
