Optimist Club of Minnesota Valley The Optimist Club of Minnesota Valley is dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" by providing hope and positive vision.

The Optimist Creed, written by Christian D. Larson and adopted by Optimist International in 1922, provides ten simple resolutions that will lead the reader to happiness. As we make our resolutions for the new year, one would be wise to keep the tenets of the Optimist Creed in mind. Adopt the words, and actions, as the way you choose to live each day:

Promise Yourself
To be so strong that nothing

can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

We had a great DMM District Optimists Convention just this past Friday & Saturday in Mankato Minnesota! I’d like to thank all attendees from South Dakota, North Dakota, Manitoba & Minnesota! The Host Club was none other than Optimist Club of MN Valley - Mankato! This is a first ever Optimist Convention in Mankato. We thank the City of Mankato, Blethen Berens, Visit Mankato - GMG, Hilton Garden Inn, Najwa’s Catering, Minuteman Press, John & Teresa Miller, Patti Lokken, Wow!Zone & Victory Bowl and several others for their support, and including Classic Coaches & Lk. Crystal Coaches. Thanks to Tim Pulis & Mike Lagerquist on the city tours, and our own Beth Hanke who developed a fun escape puzzle for all to enjoy! Optimistically Drew Campbell, Convention Chair & DMM Lt. Optimist Governor. 😀🎈
