USIP Alliance's longstanding relationship with the Japan Natto Cooperative Society Federation puts U.S. identity preserved soy in the spotlight. For 15 years, the USIP Alliance and its predecessor organizations have presented an award for the best natto created with U.S. soybeans. Our Director of Transportation & Regulatory Affairs, Gary Williams, and Competitive Shipping action team chair Jennifer Schneider of PURIS are among the panelists speaking about predicting cargo windows to avoid detention and demurrage at the AgTC Annual Meeting today in Tacoma. Jennifer discussed the impact and costs of changing ERDs as an exporter while Gary discussed proposed statutory change to OSHRA, requiring FMC to establish rules defining prohibited practices when it comes to ERDs. The event is the largest annual gathering of agriculture and forest products transportation professionals and runs through Thursday.
